Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies, such as gas oil water tyres lights and brakes in order to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.• Load and offload trucks.
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Maintain records such vehicle logs, records of cargo, billing statements in accordance with regulations.
• Perform emergency repairs such as changing tyres or installing light bulbs, fuses, and sparks plugs.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
• Report delays, accidents or other traffic and transportation situations.
• Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries.
• Sell and keep records of sales for products from truck inventory.
• Treat clients with respect.
Qualifications & Experience
Candidate is required to have at least a matriculation certificate and a valid Code 14 Drivers license / PDP – provide a copy upon application with your CV. 3-5 Year experience (Horse & Trailer).
