Quality Controller

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate – Food Technology /Biotechnology/ Chemistry Diploma / Degree (qualification essential)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the (FMCG) food industry(Dairy advantage)
  • Computer literate
  • Proven ability to manage, maintain and deliver against Customer requirements.
  • Analytical skills, communication skills, Conflict Management, and Report Writing skills
  • Ability to work independently, proactively and give direction

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to implement and maintain quality, hygiene and food safety standards;
  • Good communication skills, high sense of urgency and detail-oriented;
  • Ability to work with people at all levels;
  • Effective control of the quality system to meet the standards of customers and local legislation;
  • Customer complaints investigation and feedback
  • HACCP, FSSC 22000 system implementation and maintenance experience;
  • Supervising and training of production staff;
  • Investigating the root cause of problems and taking corrective and preventative actions;
  • Conducting microbiological tests as per procedures within the time frames specified and ensuring that deadlines are met;
  • Calibrating the microbiology and quality instruments in the laboratory as per procedures;
  • Serve as a technical liaison between quality control and other departments
  • Compiling monthly reports as required within the specified time;
  • Monitoring updates on specifications for micro test products;
  • Conduct internal audits
  • Maintenance of the highest possible grades in all third-party audits and thereby maintaining certification;
